Freedom Clicker Prestige Guide (the Mandate system)
Prestige — called Mandate in Freedom Clicker — is the loop that powers the back half of the game. Resetting wipes your MAGA$, buildings and upgrades, but grants permanent Mandate points that make every future run faster. This guide covers exactly how points are earned and the one question that matters: when should you reset?
What a Mandate point does
Each Mandate point is a permanent +2% to all production and clicks, applied to every run you ever play afterwards. The bonuses are additive with each other and multiply your whole economy, so 10 points is +20%, 40 points is +80%, and so on. Lifetime earnings — the number that unlocks eras and grants points — never reset, so you can never lose progress toward the next point by resetting.
How points are earned
- The first point requires 1 billion lifetime MAGA$.
- Beyond that you earn 3 points per 10× of lifetime earnings. In practice the gap to your next point is always about ×2.15 of your current lifetime total.
- The curve is logarithmic on purpose: because a click's payout grows with your economy, a gentler curve would eventually mint a point per click and balloon totals into the thousands. Logarithmic keeps the pace sane at every scale.
- Beating the game (crossing the finish line around 5.68e35 lifetime MAGA$) tops the curve out near 80 points — a permanent +160%.
When should you reset?
The rule of thumb: reset when the next era or building looks hours away and you have 2 or more points pending. Here is the reasoning:
- Never reset for one point. A single +2% does not recover the time it takes to rebuild. The run-back costs more than it earns.
- Do reset when growth stalls. If you are staring at a gate that is an overnight idle away, a reset with 2–3 pending points will rebuild past that gate far faster, because the early eras — which took you a while the first time — now fall in minutes.
- Each reset compounds. More points means a faster next run, which means you reach a higher lifetime sooner, which means more points. The loop accelerates.
Playing after a reset
Beeline straight to your previous best building. With the Mandate bonus applied from click one, the early eras are trivial — don't linger optimising them. Re-buy global upgrades as soon as they reappear (they are gated by era, not saved through a reset), and rebuild your Weaponized synergy base on the buildings you know will carry you.
Prestige and the finale
The strongest argument for prestiging is the gap before the final era: To The Moon sits six orders of magnitude past World Domination. A deep Mandate stack is what turns that gap from a multi-day idle into an afternoon. If you are close to the end with points banked, resetting once more before the final push is usually the fastest route to the credits.
