Freedom Clicker — Full Strategy Guide
This is the single-page overview of how Freedom Clicker's economy fits together. For an era-by-era walkthrough with per-building costs, use the nine era pages; for the reset loop, the prestige guide.
The two income sources
You earn MAGA$ by clicking the caricature and from buildings that earn automatically. A click is worth your base click power (times your click upgrades) plus about 5% of your production per second once you own the percentage upgrades. Early on, clicking is most of your income; by mid-game buildings dominate and clicking is what you do during frenzies.
The cost curve
- Each copy of a building costs 15% more than the last — the classic incremental curve. Ten copies of a cheap building often beat one copy of an expensive one.
- Down the shop list, each building costs ×10 and produces ×9 of the one before it. Newer buildings are your biggest earners, but old ones win their value back through upgrades.
- Use the ×1 / ×10 / ×100 / MAX buy toggle once your income can absorb it.
Upgrades, in priority order
- Global upgrades (×2 or ×3 to everything) — always buy on sight; nothing else compounds like them.
- Building upgrades at 10 / 50 / 100 owned — ×3 "Reinforced", ×5 "Turbocharged", ×7 "Weaponized". The 100-owned Weaponized upgrade also makes every copy of that building boost all production — the late-game synergy engine.
- Click upgrades — Tremendous Thumbs, Golden Escalator and The Sharpie multiply your base click; Executive Time and Ratings Machine tie clicks to your production.
- Achievements — every one earned is a permanent +1% to all production, so milestone hunting pays.
Bonuses to chase
Golden Trumps drift by for a frenzy or lump sum; falling stars build your 50-state flag; each era has a side quest collectible; and 20 one-time events fire once each for frenzies or lump sums worth 10–40 minutes of production. Time a frenzy event alongside a Golden Trump and the multipliers stack.
Offline progress
When the tab is closed or hidden, production continues at 1/1000 speed — a deliberate choice that keeps overnight progress meaningful without making "never play" the optimal strategy. Active play always beats idling by several times.
